Gurkha Nicaragua Series Now Shipping

Gurkha Cigars has announced that their Aganorsa-made Nicaragua Series is now shipping to retailers across the country.

With cigar smokers caring now more than ever about cigar factories and tobacco varietals, Gurkha’s Nicaragua Series was quick to turn heads when first announced in early June. For the first time, the company has partnered with Aganorsa Leaf and their burgeoning TABSA factory in Estelí. In addition, the cigars make use of the Fernández family’s vaunted Aganorsa tobacco throughout the entirety of the puro blend.

Gurkha Nicaragua Series cigar

The Nicaragua Series debuted at this summer’s IPCPR trade show in Las Vegas, being one of the company’s most sought-after/limited offerings (with the Gurkha Treinta—another TABSA-made cigar—being the most limited). At the show, the cigars were only made available to Gurkha’s top accounts, with each retailer being able to order five boxes per size. The Nicaragua Series will then be opened up to all retailers across the country in 2020.

Nicaragua Series is rolled at the TABSA factory in four sizes, with prices ranging from $9.75 to $10.95 per cigar (MSRP). The blend is Nicaraguan puro, featuring Criollo ’98 and Corojo ’99 in the filler, a Nicaraguan double binder, and a Corojo ’99 Clara wrapper.
